Contest Rules & Odds

Rules & Odds for the NUTS & BOLTS themed party

  • No purchase necessary (you may come and drink water, or nothing, if you prefer).
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Family and employees of the Oakroom are not eligible
  • Contest period: February 6'th 2010 from 8pm to Midnight

    * One nut or bolt per person

    * Generally, a nut will be issued to a female, and a bolt to a male.  However, a person may receive a nut instead of a bolt (or vice-versa) if they request to do so.

    * No Nuts or Bolts will be handed out prior to or after the contest period

    * Winners must turn in their matching pair to win, and will not receive another nut or bolt.

  • Nuts & Bolts Odds of winning:

    *  There will be a maximum of 100 bolts & 100 nuts available.

    * Up to 26 winners are possible (13 matching pairs).  This includes:

    •  two grand prize winners (one matching pair)
    • four 2nd place winners (two matching pairs)
    • ten 3rd place winners (five matching pairs)
    • ten special chance winners (five matching pairs)

    *  Odds of winning any of the above will vary based on how many people enter

Should all 60 nuts and all 60 bolts be issued, then the odds of winning each category approach 100%, assuming every person can try their nut or bolt with every other person.

*If no one wins one or more of the prizes listed above, then they will not be issued to anyone.

  • Special Chance to win $400.00

    * Every winner (above) will have one chance to win $400.00, unless someone has already won this prize.

    * Each of these people will get one chance to enter a 4 digit 'PIN' into an electronic 'ATM' machine.  If one person enters the correct PIN, then that individual will win the $400.00.

    * Odds of entering the correct pin are 1 in 10,000

    * Only one person may win the $400.00.  Once the prize has been won, no one else may win it.

    * If no one wins the $400.00 prize, then it will not be issued to anyone.

    * If no one wins the grand prizes or second place prizes, or if less people win than prizes are offered, then those prizes will not be issued to anyone.

    *  Must be present to win.
